Knowing who is coming in, and for what occasion, allows our team to prepare guidance on poses, sizing options and any specific considerations worth discussing before the session starts. A scheduled appointment ensures the studio is ready for you when you arrive. It also allows our team to prepare any recommendations in advance, helping to keep the experience smooth, relaxed and unhurried from the outset.
2. The 360 Photo Session
The photo session itself is the foundation of everything that follows. A series of cameras arranged in a 360-degree configuration capture your likeness simultaneously, in a single burst that takes a fraction of a second. There is no need to hold a pose for any extended period. This makes the process comfortable for everyone, including young children and those who find standing for long periods difficult.
The full session, including time spent on posing guidance and any adjustments to clothing or positioning, typically takes around 15 minutes. A team member is present throughout to offer suggestions and answer questions, so there is no guesswork involved on your part.
3. Reviewing Your Photos
Once the session is complete, you receive a digital preview of up to 78 photos before any production begins. This stage matters. It gives you the opportunity to assess facial expression, posture and clothing detail, and to flag anything you’d like refined before the figurine goes into production. Most customers find the preview meets their expectations with only minor adjustments, but the step exists precisely so that nothing moves forward until you are satisfied.
Payment is confirmed at this stage, once you have reviewed and approved your preview. This ensures you can see exactly what has been captured before committing to production.
4. From Photos to 3D Model
Once the preview is approved, the images move into the production stage. AI-powered software processes the photographic data and constructs a precise digital 3D model, preserving facial features, clothing texture, posture and all the fine details that make a figurine accurate and recognisable. The digital sculpting stage is where expression and likeness are refined further, with careful attention paid to the subtle characteristics that define a face.
Colour calibration is applied throughout, drawing on a printing process capable of producing over 16 million colour variations to ensure the finished piece reflects natural skin tones, fabric colours, and fine gradients accurately.
5. Printing and Finishing
The 3D model is printed using full-colour microjet resin technology, which holds colour vividly and keeps fine detail crisp at small scales. Once printed, each figurine is inspected and hand-finished before packaging. The same care goes into the packaging as the production itself, whether the piece is being collected in person or shipped directly to a recipient.
Figurines are typically ready within two to three weeks from the date the order is confirmed. You will be notified when yours is ready.
What If You Can’t Visit in Person?
A studio visit is not the only option. If attending in person is not practical, a figurine can be created from a set of existing photographs submitted remotely. The same production process applies: digital modelling, colour calibration, printing and finishing.
Clear images taken from multiple angles in good lighting produce the best results. This option is particularly useful when the figurine is intended as a surprise as the entire process can be completed without the recipient’s knowledge.
